Video content

The latest Mitsubishi Triton has been around for about a year now, and it’s established itself as a popular work and leisure vehicle, with easy maneuverability coupled with excellent load-carrying ability.

The top-of-the-range model is the GLS automatic, and it’s got one of the best 4WD drivetrains on the ute market, being fitted with the five-speed automatic Super Select, which offers a locked centre diff. mode for off-roading.

On the safety front it’s got a full five-star rating, thanks to front, side and curtain airbags, ABS brakes with ASC stability programme, traction control, and electronic brakeforce distribution.

It’s rich on features too, and has cruise control and Bluetooth telephone and audio streaming, with a six inch touchscreen as well as voice activation and satellite controls on the steering wheel.

Other features include a reversing camera, trailer stability assistance, hill start assistance, rain-sensing wipers, light sensing headlights and LED daytime running lamps, as well as push-button start with proximity key.

As far as fleetability is concerned the Triton offers 7.6L/100km overall fuel consumption from its 135kW/437Nm turbo-diesel engine, as well as 3.1 tonne towing ability, perfect for Tradies towing things onto and off the building site.

The Triton also comes with Mitsubishi’s 10 year Diamond Advantage Warranty. For more information go to www.mmnz.co.nz/triton.
