Aluminium light crane system operates silently

General

A HIGH performance aluminium light crane system has been introduced by Konecranes for applications demanding high precision, less rolling resistance, low noise and corrosion-free durability.

The XA Aluminium Light Crane System – based on high structural stiffness aluminium alloy rail profiles – includes monorails and single and double girder cranes up to 2000kg capacity.

Designed to work in cells and for lighter materials handling needs, the system expands Konecranes’ range of lifting solutions with the most comprehensive aluminium rail programme in the industry, says national sales and marketing manager Warren Ashton.

Ergonomic benefits include less effort required when operating, because both rolling resistance and system dead weight are reduced by 50 percent compared with traditional steel rails.

"Also, because of the light weight and low rolling resistance, many applications can be realised with push-pull trolleys rather than motorised drives, achieving modern energy-conserving and cost-efficient outcomes.

The system’s unique profile shapes and high material strength offer a bigger working area below the crane. The high-precision rail manufacturing process ensures smooth and silent movements, even across rail joints
