Automated Hydrostatic testing machine for plastic pipes

Equipment

Hylec Controls has unveiled its highly efficient and accurate HTM hydrostatic and burst testing machines for plastic pipes and fittings. The machines are specifically designed for time-to-failure-tests of plastic pipes under constant internal pressure, and to test the resistance of plastic pipe tubing and fittings to short-time hydraulic pressure.

Suitable for use by plastic pipe and fittings manufacturers, importers, and major end-users in the mining industry, the HTM hydrostatic and burst testing machines are highly cost-effective and reliable. They feature European or U.S. components such as precision pressure transducer, electromagnetic valve, accumulator and electric pump, which ensure high precision and reliability.

The machines have an advanced OMRON PLC designed for industrial use that offers closed loop control of working pressure and pressure compensation. They also feature an accumulator for pressure compensation, an electric pump for high stability and reliability, and a water filter for high precision filtering with big flow rate and stainless mesh.

With a powerful test parameter set-up, the machines allow for hydrostatic test, burst test, and graduation pressuring test. They have 64 test stations to accommodate multiple tests without interference and six sizes of water tanks for selectable sizes of test specimens. They also feature a stainless SS316 piping system for high reliability and durability, and pressure ranges from 10Mpa up to 30Mpa.

Hylec Controls also offers a full range of other test machines for the plastics, building materials, and metals industries, including universal test machines, hardness testers, vicat and compression testers.
