Longer ranges, improved performance all-round and lower prices are just some of the hallmarks of the ‘outstanding’ new range of inductive proximity sensor from ifm electronic.
The range features standard M12, M18 and M30 housings with sensing ranges of 10mm, 15mm and 30mm respectively, regardless of the metal being detected. There simply is no reduction factor. All versions, flush and non-flush are also available in two lengths.
Beyond that the environmental credentials of the new range are superb, promises the company, with an operating temperature range between -40°C and +85°C and every ingress protection from IP65 to IP69K. Not to mention that these units are immune to strong electrical fields, so some are suitably coated to resist weld spatter.
While sensors with the same correction factor for all metals have formed an integral part of the ifm electronic range for many years, the innovative features of the new range enhance performance at more attractive prices than ifm could offer before.
ifm is committed to working closely with its customers to develop products which precisely match their needs, and the company provides expert, readily accessible technical support to help users maximise the benefits they gain from ifm products, it says.
