Bonfiglioli To debut Warehousing, Material Handling and Automation Solutions

Motors & Drives

From 2-4 September 2025, the country’s leading food manufacturing, packaging and processing technology specialists will convene at the 2025 Foodtech Packtech & MHL expo. Bonfiglioli will be among the exhibitors, showcasing its solutions for the sector – including a few that are new to the local market.

“We’re excited to be part of FoodTech Packtech & MHL 2025, especially as some of the latest solutions from Bonfiglioli will be making their local debut at the expo,” says Paul Savage, Country Manager, Bonfiglioli New Zealand. “This event is a great platform to connect with customers and prospects, and to demonstrate how our products and capabilities can resolve the logistics, warehousing and material handling challenges facing the sector”.

What’s new

Paul highlights four key products that will be introduced to the local market during the Expo:

  1. DGM Modular inverter: This decentralised inverter is designed for use with motors, offering a complete automation solution that’s ideal for use in a wide range of applications including conveyor systems and logistics processes. Unlike some inverters that must be located in the control room, the DGM Modular can be mounted directly onboard the motor or wall-mounted close to it, meaning there’s less cabling. This simplifies the plant design significantly and enables precise control of speed and torque in an easy to manage solution. With an integrated PID and internal PLC, the DGM Modular delivers flexible and reliable automated speed control. It also has an aluminium housing with IP65 rating, making it robust enough to handle demanding food processing and packaging applications, with vibration-free operation. It’s versatile, with a 0.55 – 30 kW power range and high compatibility with the range of Bonfiglioli motors.
  1. Blue Roll: This wheel-mounted gearbox was specifically developed to meet the requirements of the AGV sector. It’s available in various sizes to meet load requirements, and reaches a speed of up to 2 m/s. This gearbox is almost completely enclosed by the wheel, and can be fitted directly to the chassis of the vehicle, making installation easy even in small spaces. The integrated wheel is supported directly by reinforced gearbox bearings, which permit ultra-high radial forces. This is a gearbox that can easily handle heavy loads. It’s also a durable solution, using high-quality precision planetary gears and it comes with a range of feedback systems including safety encoders.
  1. BSR Series: This is an energy-efficient synchronous reluctance motor designed to replace traditional induction motors in a wide range of applications. What makes it stand out is its innovative rotor design, which improves performance without using magnets or windings. It runs cooler, responds faster and helps save on energy costs, especially when used with variable speed drives. With efficiency levels up to IE4, reduced motor size and lower maintenance needs, it’s a reliable and eco-friendly choice for businesses looking to boost productivity while cutting operating costs.
  1. AxiaVert Series: This is a highly flexible frequency inverter, developed for use in a wide spectrum of applications. Its modular design makes it easy to mix and match hardware modules, add useful accessories and customise the software to match the required application setup. It’s compatible with multiple motor types and comes with smart features like built-in safety options, Industry 4.0-ready communication, and intuitive PC or mobile interfaces for easy setup and remote monitoring.

“Of course, we’ll also have some of our old favourites, like the A Series gearmotor and our very popular planetaries on show alongside these new releases,” says Paul.

“We’re committed to steadily extending our footprint across local industries by demonstrating that our solutions drive improved efficiency, productivity and cost reductions. We look forward to the Foodtech Packtech & MHL Expo 2025, where we can connect with our customers in the food processing and packaging space, and be part of the future growth of the sector”.

Bonfiglioli will be located at stand J23 at Foodtech Packtech & MHL Expo 2025, taking place from 2-4 September 2025, at the Auckland Showgrounds.
