Manufacturing has been given the green light and companies are rapidly accelerating their production efforts to meet the demand.
Naturally, the need for a reliable supplier in times where many have limited stock and on-hand support, is critical to the success of your business. According to Neil Pollington, Country Manager New Zealand, Bonfiglioli is ready to meet the demand.
“We have offer a comprehensive stockholding and our teams are ready to support New Zealand-based companies in every industry. During these difficult times where customers need to ramp up to make up for lost time due to COVID-19 shutdowns, we want to be there for them. The last thing they need is a production line standing still due to a lack of spare parts or delayed product supply. This is where we come in. Bonfiglioli in Auckland has geared up on their stockholding in recent years and have managed to develop an impressive local supply to meet the market demand”.
Since its inception in the local market, the company has made a name for itself in the ‘gearbox game’.
“We service local companies from various industries such as wastewater treatment, fruit growers, sugar, timber, food processing and heavy industry. One of our strengths has always been our wide range. We are able to offer a wide selection of reliable, quality products across the gearbox range,” says Neil.
The company’s founder, Clementino Bonfiglioli designed the first worm gear (VF series) to be supplied to major companies in the Italian packaging sector in 1988. “Today, what makes us unique is that we offer not only worm units but also both helical bevels as well as planetary units to deliver a complete range to the local market”.
You Can Count on Us
Locally, Bonfiglioli quickly realised the need to ensure a local stock contingent to shorten lead times and improve its service levels. “In Auckland alone, we keep around $3million worth of stock. This includes the entire product range of worm, helical bevel and planetary units up to 105 000nM. This is backed by 24.7 support”.
According to Neil, the company is also able to take on more complex jobs which require additional design and engineering because of their design department. “This allows us to provide a full plug and play solution”.
In its efforts to deliver improved customer satisfaction, Neil also notes that the company now runs regular customer satisfaction surveys. “We believe that our service quality should match our product quality. For this reason, we listen to our customers. Our offices are equipped with the people, skills and product required by our customers”.
