To meet the demand for improved staff protection when welding, New Zealand Duct&Flex has added a new range of compact filters aimed at capturing welding fumes, metal cutting, grinding and similar non-corrosive or explosive dusts. These units compliment the extensive stock of fume arms, fans and booms held in stock.
The range consists of filters designed to handle 2,4,6,8 or 12 fume arms. Each unit is manufactured in Europe and is fitted with Camfill Farr HemiPleat Gold Cone filter fire retardant cartridges that are locally available from either NZ Duct&Flex or Camfill Farr NZ direct.
The filter units are fitted as standard with the following features:
• Powder-coated and galvanised corrosion protection
• Easily emptied ‘Dust Drawers’ in the base
• Vertically mounted filter cartridges
• Compressed air cleaning with built in tank
• Spark trap filter on the inlet
• Air capacity’s range from 2000m3/hour
Customisations are available and standard options include built-in fans, differential pressure cleaning control (to save compressed air costs) and specialist cartridges.
