Level Switch That Ignores Foaming

Product Watch

Baumer’s new LFFS and LBFS series of Clever Level switches are a very versatile instrument that overcomes the issues associated with level switch technologies.
Using the frequency deviation technology principle of operation, the Clever Level has the ability to measure a broad cross section of process media such as liquids,
pastes, powder and granular material formats. In conjunction with the “Flex-
Programmer” programming software, this unique level switch can be taught to
measure a specific format of process media while at the same time ignoring problematic forms of interference such as foaming and residual build up.
The switching status on the switch itself is indicated by way of a bright blue LED
illumination that has 360° visibility. With a process temperature rating of 115°C and wetted materials of PEEK and stainless steel the Clever Level is compatible with numerous process applications.
This device is available with a variety of 3A approved process connections making it an ideal instrument for industry groups such as dairy, pharmaceutical, food and beverage.
