Vertigo Technologies is a team of seven passionate individuals taking on the CNC industry from Westport on the West Coast of the South Island. With currently one CNC machine on the market, a lead screw driven three axis machines that comes in two different sizes. The Vertigo CNC has been designed to appeal to those looking at getting into the CNC industry, like people that run small businesses that currently cannot afford the big cost of the more commercial machines or schools wanting to teach their students about automated machining but want something easy and simple to use. Vertigo Tech saw that there was a desire for a more entry-level machine and created the Vertigo CNC to fit.

Vertigo Tech sees their Vertigo CNC used in education institutes all over New Zealand and abroad. With a passion for teaching people about the automation industry Brett Cottle CEO/Director of Vertigo Tech wants to see students use and get excited about CNC machines and machining With a strong passion to make and innovate he wants to make automated fabrication available to everyone. Vertigo Tech also offers a special education pricing for all of its machines in hopes that more schools and education providers can have access to this technology.

Vertigo Tech has now started prototyping a new machine that is more robust to be a step above their current Vertigo CNC. The machine will be designed to feel comfortable to seasoned machinists, but still simple and easy to use. It will be closer in functionality to the commercial CNC machines but will not come with the hefty price. The new CNC will be designed to help automate small operations.

Vertigo Tech also understands that an off the shelf CNC machine may not suit everyone’s needs and is happy to consult with you to design and build a CNC machine to fit your purpose. Already having worked with customers interpreting their ideas and designing machines to best fit their tasks, custom machines have become somewhat of a specialty for Vertigo Tech.
