COVID Lockdown restrictions have certainly put a damper on many of our plans for 2020, including the postponement of our own annual NMEC conference until 2021. The MESNZ committee is dedicated to supporting our membership and following our AGM to be held at SAFE Ltd, we are going to host a special network evening to provide a great opportunity to reconnect with industry friends and peers, both old and new.

While being entertained with some great guest speakers, you will also be able to enjoy a world famous (in New Zealand) SAFE Ltd furnace roast meal, light refreshments, hot-forging demonstrations and join us in presenting the Bill Buckley Engineering Scholarship for 2020 (Sponsored by Competenz).

Bill Buckley of Buckley Systems Ltd, will share the latest updates of their Boron-Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) Cancer-Killing Machine.

Martin McElwee of Emirates Team New Zealand will share some interesting engineering insights into the design and development of the incredible AC75 Flying Monohull set to defend the Americas Cup early next year.

This is an in-person event to be hosted at the Hot-Forging workshop of SAFE Ltd, 116 Waihoehoe Road, Drury, 6-9pm, Tuesday, 13th October 2020. A cover charge of $25 will apply to help cover the cost of the evening and this will be invoiced upon registration. To avoid disappointment please register early as COVID restrictions may limit the number of people able to attend. For catering purposes registrations must be received by Friday 9th October.

MESNZ members are welcome to come early and attend the AGM from 5-6pm at the same venue. There is no cost to attend the AGM and notices for this event have been posted separately.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. Please note that this is an in-person event and the registration process is to secure your spot at the event.
