New appointment and office update from SMC ANZ

News

Team growth is the name of the game at SMC. The team is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Derek Haakman to the Area Sales Manager’s role covering Horowhenua, Manawatu, Whanganui and Taranaki. Derek returns to SMC with an extensive pneumatics background in both New Zealand and Australia, and more importantly he was born and raised in Palmerston and has a good knowledge of the area. Derek will be working closely with the Central Region Manager, Laurie Hamilton, who was also previously our Palmerston North Branch Manager and will be known to many of SMC’s customers.

In other news, for the past twenty-five years SMC has been operating a Regional Branch Office at Tremaine Avenue Palmerston North and has always valued the support of our loyal Customer base. Having extensively reviewed its operations across New Zealand, SMC will has decided not to renew its lease on their current Palmerston North Branch Office. The team will however be maintaining a physical presence by relocating to a smaller Sales Office later in the year.
