NORD DRIVESYSTEMS TO EXHIBIT AT CeMAT AUSTRALIA

News

Welcome to warehousing of the future, now.

The much-anticipated CeMAT Australia starts next week from the 24 - 26 July at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Showcasing Australia’s leading materials handling, intralogistics and supply chain management companies, CeMAT provides the perfect platform for the latest industry innovations and for exchanging ideas and insights on the warehouse of the future.

Amongst the prominent exhibitors is leading drive technology specialists, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS. Servicing the market for more than half a century, NORD is a leading supplier to the logistics industry and will be promoting some its latest ground-breaking technologies.

NORD’s Intralogistics and Airport Sector Manager, Phil Richards who will be hosting CeMAT visitors during the show says that NORD prides itself on customising its comprehensive, quality range to match exact customer requirements. Striving for 100% customer focus, the company’s product offering is backed by superior expertise to the industry.

“On display, we will have our dynamic conveyor systems, which will once again highlight the efficiency of our intelligent energy saving IE4 motors when compared to most other motors in the marketplace. In addition, it is low-maintenance and sports a robust design,” says Phil.

On show at CeMAT, NORD will also showcase the NORDAC Link VSD with NORD IE4 permanent magnet motors and NORD cable sets which combine to make the Logidrive system, a complete Intralogistic and Airport solution. The NORDAC link is a new addition to the company’s portfolio and has proved to be a popular and reliable offering to NORD’s customer base. “NORD designed this Logidrive system with Intralogistics and Airport customers in mind; the units are configured with Harting connectors, lockable isolator switches and all standard bus communication plugs as well as a host of other options. We wanted the complete system to be easy to install and easy to work on when maintenance is required to ensure a 100% plug and play solution for our customers,”

The NORDAC Flex will also be displayed at CeMAT. “This unit is available in both IP55 and IP66 protection ratings and can be motor mounted to give a decentralized solution. It provides a high-level of control including an in-built PLC with industry 4.0 monitoring and the same range of plugs and connectors available on other NORD VSD’s”.

Phil says that the complete NORD VSD range is compatiable with all NORD geared motor types. “If you require an IE4 solution, there is no restriction on geared motor types to combine it with. It is easily the most modular IE4 solution on offer“. Combine this with the NORD Gripmaxx keyless shaft assembly and you have a gearbox that can be quickly and easily installed or removed due to the split bushing design.

“The real pay-back period on IE4 is in partial and no load situations which frequently occurs in freight facilities and airports. Customers can here expect to see 50-70% reductions in their energy bills, and  ultimatley a CO2 reduction due to power being used much more efficiently,”

Phil concludes saying that NORD can provide energy measuring devices to install in the existing system for a short period of time to record the data “This gives customers an accurate before-and-after energy reading which in turn proves the cost savings.”
