Schneider Electric’s EcoXpert program for electrical contractors, electricians and system integrators to enhance the training and accreditation for making homes, buildings, hotels and retail spaces smarter, more efficient, and more comfortable is now available in New Zealand.

The EcoXpert Partner Program is a worldwide network of trained and certified partners who build expertise in integrating systems for lighting, heating and air conditioning, building management, power management, and security as the Internet of Things, voice automation and the cloud enhance the systems available for homes, restaurants, office buildings, retail centres, and hospitals.

The New Zealand chapter of the program was officially launched by Schneider Electric Zone President Gareth O’Reilly at an exclusive three-day Innovation conference in Queenstown attended by about 150 Australian EcoXperts and New Zealand firms.

“At a time when the world is becoming more connected, digitized and energy reliant, it is more important than ever that we partner with small, medium and large businesses in sharing information on technology, software, products and customer needs,” O’Reilly said.

New Zealand Executive General Manager of Schneider Electric, Ray Dunn said that the demand for high-performing homes and buildings is growing exponentially as running costs and environmental standards continue to heighten. “Globally the EcoXpert network has grown by 45 percent in the past four years and areas of specialisation have emerged in hotels, healthcare, data centres, and retail. We know there is a strong demand in New Zealand to access the program that is suitable for local conditions and projects.”

Local firm Quasar has been an EcoXpert partner for a number of years now. Managing director Richard Schwass, the partner program is certainly one of the best the company has experienced and is a deserved winner of a five-star rating in CRN’s 2017 Partner Program Guide. “Being a ‘Master’ level partner in this program gives us access to a large range of resources and support from Schneider Electric. It also provides our customers with an assurance of quality solutions being built by a certified company whose individual staff members are trained and accredited by Schneider Electric on the systems, solutions and technology.”

The exclusive EcoXpert Innovation Talk event involved a range of training and networking opportunities as well as inspirational speakers. Olympic gold medalist skier and strategic business leader Alisa Camplin OAM delivered a stirring keynote while singer, and The Voice judge, Guy Sebastian, made a surprise appearance to speak about working with EcoXpert, Amped, on the design of his new family home and rehearsal studio.
