Emerson Network Power Asia strengthens sales productivity

Emerson Network Power announced the appointment of Chris Mandahl as senior director for sales productivity, covering Australia and New Zealand, South East Asia, Japan, South Korea and Pakistan. Mandahl will report directly to Gene Hayden, vice president and general manager for sales, Emerson Network Power in Asia. “An organization’s success is determined by the people it employs, and Emerson Network Power is no exception. Mandahl is a seasoned, well-respected leader and was most recently senior sales director for Emerson Network Power in Australia and New Zealand. Mandahl has been with Emerson for close to 25 years, starting as a power customer engineer for acquired company Liebert Corporation in 1988. Throughout his career, he gained experience in various disciplines including services, sales, product management and sales management. With his new appointment, Chris will be responsible for enablement of the sales teams to achieve their goals by improving the effectiveness of the sales organization. His primary focus is to drive and lead the implementation of sales force productivity programs such as Sales Tools (CRM), enhanced sales processes, S&OP planning, sales incentive programs, as well as providing market intelligence and supporting collaborative engagement with services, product management and marketing.
"Sales productivity is about determining optimal go-to-market strategies, and creating a dialogue among sales teams to share and employ best practices," said Mandahl. "My primary objective is to develop and equip our sales forces in the region – through business intelligence efforts that allow us to capitalise on market trends, optimising the sales process, and creating incentives that inspire excellence in the field.” Mandahl holds an Advance Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Petone Polytechnic and completed a Diploma in Marketing and Management from Australian Institute of Management. He is now based in Manila, Philippines.
