Hallite have developed a patented urethane called Hythane 181® which is an ether based (eu) material. It is not only compatible with all common mineral hydraulic fluids, Hythane 181® has excellent abrasion resistance, is less susceptible to dynamic heat build-up, is less effected by cold temperatures, has very good memory (much higher rebound than polyester (au) and has excellent hydrolytic stability.
As seals are one of the most important and relied upon components in any Hydraulic and Pneumatic system, Pacific Seals understand the importance of having the correct seal for the application. Should the seal be unavailable ex-stock, or if there is time restraint or a special profile required, they have the option of manufacturing with their Forma Service. Their machinist, with 23+ years of experience in the seal industry, will design and custom make high performance seals to specification. In most instances, manufacturing has a one to two day turnaround and in exceptional circumstances can be same-day or overnight with no extra cost.
Forma recently introduced the availability of a new polyurethane now offered by Hallite. It has the same superior qualities of Hythane 181® and is a welcome addition to their already expansive inventory of material. Forma manufacture to suit almost anything– from Brake Systems to the Food Industry (including FDA certification upon request), as well as lifting equipment, cranes, heavy duty earthmoving machinery, off-road vehicles, injection moulding machines, light duty tippers, packing equipment, hospital beds, coffee machines and even pressure cookers!
