Garth Tremeer from Tremeer Electrical Services in Auckland is the lucky winner of PDL by Schneider Electric’s Golden Ticket giveaway. The promotion was part of celebrations to mark the company’s 80 years in business and to thank its wholesaler network for the support it had received over those years, PDL gave away an ultimate $10,000 road trip. To be in with the chance to win, all customers had to do was purchase a PDL Iconic product from their local wholesaler during the promotional period.
After the initial rush of the win, almost instantly Tremeer decided to kindly donate his prize to the Starship Foundation – a social-profit organisation that raises funds to better care for young patients while they are in hospital.
“I have no need to travel at the moment, and there are many people out there who need the money more than I do, so it makes sense to donate to such a worthy cause.”
He collected the prize from Schneider Electric’s Executive General Manager, Ray Dunn earlier in the week and delivered it to the Starship Foundation later that day.
Dunn said the whole team at Schneider Electric has been touched by Tremeer's generosity and are pleased to see this prize go towards an organisation who does so much for the community.
In addition to the major prize, four runner-ups got the chance to ride in the iconic PDL Mustang at Hampton Downs in October.
