SEW Eurodrive is pleased to announce a new range of high specification gear oils for our close-coupled and heavy industrial reduction gearboxes. The load requirements and operating hours imposed on our gear units are steadily increasing in many applications and our customers are asking for longer service life and extended warranties for their equipment.
SEW Tribologists have many decades of experience and in response, have developed a range of premium lubricants with customized extreme pressure (EP) additives. SEW GearOil® has been tested against the stringent quality requirements of SEW-EURODRIVE, testing specification no. 07 004 03 13. These tests have shown that the new oil exceeds the standards of the lubricants currently available.
This SEW GearOil® has an increase working life and actively reduces friction of the gear mesh thereby increasing gear efficiency. It also extends the service life of wear parts such as bearings and seals.
The SEW GearOil® range is available in mineral and synthetic options with various viscosities available. These oils are suitable for all helical, helical-bevel, helical-worm, Spiroplan and planetary gearboxes. There is a useful universal food grade option, Poly 460 H1E1 that can be used in all gearing types.
From March 2020, SEW New Zealand will supply the SEW GearOil® lubricants in all new and serviced gear units as standard. Furthermore, we will offer an additional 12 month warranty for qualifying drive applications. Terms and conditions apply.
