MODULES FOR BOTH BEGINNERS AND EXPERTS
It contains many modules prepared to do special jobs, and the analyser and route are the main two. There are also very specialized modules, such as the recorder. However, you choose just the modules you need, buying the base unit first and further modules later as required.
VA3 MAKES YOU THE EXPERT
All units contain the FASIT module. This expert system analyses signals and indicates the severity of basic failures such as unbalance, misalignment, looseness and bearing failure. Whilst this serves to aid non-qualified staff the VA3 also enables all measurements required by the CAT IV Vibration analyst.
RECORD THE WHOLE SIGNAL AND DON’T MISS A THING
The VA3 contains a recorder module enabling recording of the raw signal for analysis later in the office. It is very convenient, says the manufacturer, for when there is only a short time for measurement and the machine run is available only one time. Typically, it is the run-up, when the machine then will be running for many months. There is only one chance for reading, and it cannot be repeated. After recording you can re-play the signal and look at any measurement you want. One record can contain up to 100 hours of raw signal.
RUN UP MEASUREMENT T
The VA3 run-up module offers many functions for run-up and coast-down measurements. It essentially collects repeated readings very fast. This collection can be controlled by speed change (e.g. reading only when the speed changes by 30 RPM compared with last reading speed) or by time interval (make reading every second) or both together.
ONE AND TWO PLAIN BALANCING INCLUDED
With the balancer module you can do one or two plain balancings of rigid rotors.
SAVE MONEY WITH ULTRASOUND AS A SUPPLEMENT TO VIBRATIONS
This module detects leaks in compressed air and measures the bearing condition and the lubrication. You can even detect corona discharge and other failures in high voltage systems.
BUILT IN STROBOSCOPE AND IR THERMOMETER
A contactless IR thermometer and stroboscope is built in the unit, which can also be used as a torch for peering into dark spaces.
FASTER READINGS WITH TRIAXIAL SENSORS
The VA3 is 3 channel unit. It enables to use the triaxial sensor. But you can also use three individual sensors for measurement on three different points.
