2021 MESNZ Lunch And Learn 21: Motor & Gear Box Corrosion Protection

Maintenance Matters

Motors and gear boxes are the live blood of industry, with this critical equipment exposed to a range of challenging ambient conditions including moisture, temperature, chemical and particulate contamination. There are several coating types and processes and plating options available plus different material selection and treatment options for drive shafts. This session will discuss the pros and cons of stainless steel motors and special clean design motors plus solutions to prevent internal corrosion in gearboxes that are held in storage for extended periods.

Neil Smit, SEW Eurodrive, a long-time supporter of MESNZ, will lead the session.

Registration links for upcoming sessions can be found at a dedicated page on the Kaeser Compressors NZ website https://nz.kaeser.com/services/news-and-dates/webinars/mesnz-lunch-and-learn-webinars/ along with a link to access recordings of previous lunch and learn sessions.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
