Privately owned New Zealand company, Milmeq, has appointed a new chief executive following a decision by current CEO, Matthew Wall, to retire at the end of last year.
Mike Lightfoot was selected by the board to lead the next phase of development for Milmeq.
Coming from electromagnetics and motion control industries, working with the food industry will be a new challenge, although Lightfoot has experience of leading technical manufacturing companies through change and growth.
His previous role was CEO at Buckley Systems and prior to this, he held senior roles at a number of NYSE listed companies with global operations.
Equipped with an international sales and marketing background and a passion for New Zealand manufacturing Lightfoot’s appointment is timely as Milmeq continues to develop turnkey solutions for food processing operations in home markets, New Zealand and Australia.
Lightfoot joined Milmeq on 3 December 2012 providing a handover period with Wall.
