He points to Bonfiglioli’s recent collaboration with an agricultural manufacturer, in the supply of an effluent pond stirrer for its dairy farm applications.
Seeds in the effluent ponds started to grow if the ponds stagnated – a problem resolved with the use of stirrers. However, the existing gearbox and motor combination for the stirrers was not effective.
“We recommended the 300M Series as it’s modular and easily customised. It delivers high performance, even in demanding environments. What really sold the customer team was that this particular unit is versatile and can be mounted vertically on a torque arm set close to the motor, to meet their unique specifications without the need for modifications,” explains Martin. This electrically driven effluent-stirrer is mounted on a flotation raft, offering a high flow rate with low power consumption. The big range of output shaft and flange options on the 300M Series made it easy for to establish a robust shaft to gearbox connection, supporting the high performance of the system.

This customisable planetary gearbox range offers a wide torque range, from 1,250 to 1,286,700 Nm. It delivers extreme speed reduction, high output torque and exceptional shock resistance. With its low maintenance requirements, it’s a cost-effective and reliable solution.
