element14 has added stock of new products from Phoenix Contact, some of which feature Push-X technology which enables tool-free wiring of both rigid and flexible conductors; TRIO power supplies with integrated circuit breakers; and STEP power supplies for use via USB with Raspberry Pi and smart home devices.
element14, Director of Supplier Operations, James Entwistle, said, “Phoenix Contact engineers are constantly developing innovative new products. element14 customers can now benefit from these technological advancements in device and automation connection technology from the broad range we offer from Phoenix.”
The newly added range of Phoenix Contact components at element14 includes:
• Connexis is a new portfolio of crimp-based PCB connectors for cable assemblies that includes connectors and headers with horizontal or vertical connection direction as well as panel feedthroughs. With pitches of 2.5 mm, 3.81 mm, and 5.08 mm respectively, the connectors from the D21, D31, and D32 portfolio are suitable for numerous signal and voltage supplies of 160 V to 320V.
• XPC PushX PCB connectors enable engineers to easily wire PCBs with single conductors, whether they are thin or thick, rigid or flexible, with or without ferrules. The sophisticated Push-X locking mechanism technology of the pretensioned contact provides a provides a toolless, click-and-done operation that accelerates assembly times.
• XT & XTV PushX terminal blocks are available in nominal cross-sections of 2,5, 6, 10 and 16 mm², enabling conductor cross-sections between 0.5 and 25 mm² to be easily wired. Because larger conductor cross-sections, such as 16 mm² conductors, are difficult to bend, the side connection makes wiring easier.
• OCS Outdoor Housings are robust, large-volume outdoor housings designed to enable electronics that need to operate in temperature ranges of -40°C to +80°C (short-term 120°C) with a Class IK10 impact strength. OCS series electronics housings are ideal for autonomous device systems operating in extreme environments.
• STEP3 Power Supplies have been specifically developed for building automation applications for use in distribution boards and flat control panels. Their low, no-load losses and high degree of efficiency deliver maximum power efficiency in their class. These power supplies offer flexible mounting options, including the ability to be mounted on a DIN rail or level surface.
• TRIO 3 Power Supplies are robust power supplies for machine building, compact plug-and-play solution with integrated device protection, the new TRIO POWER power supplies with integrated multi-channel device protection feature a space-saving design, a robust and reliable supply, easy handling, smart diagnostics, and the IO-Link interface.
James said, “Adding this range of powerful connectivity options from Phoenix Contact gives our developer customers a much greater number of options to get their ideas to market faster, meeting the needs of those actively seeking innovations.
