On display at the Southmach 2013 exhibition this year include the Mitsubishi EX laser, the world’s most advanced thin to thick metal laser cutting system, and the Mitsubishi ultra accurate EDM wire cut and die sinking machine range.
For turning machines, the Samsung PL series heavy-duty slant bed lathe will be on display at the show that is run on alternate years. The PL lathe series is available with ZX, C, and Y axis and twin spindles.
Sheetmetal machine tools from Ermaksan have been popular in New Zealand over the past 10 years with a range of top performing CNC and manual machines. The Speedbend range of Press brakes are heavily constructed and use well recognised brand control systems from Delem and Cybelec.
The Akira machine tools will be represented at Southmach 2013 by the latest VXP series vertical machining centre performing cutting demonstrations with its high power 30HP-12,000 rpm spindle.
This VMC has a table load carrying capacity of almost double many box way type machines but with faster rapid speed. The Akira machines have been chosen by precision and manufacturing engineers due to their excellent rigidity and cutting accuracy.
CAM software from respected British developer Vero will be on demonstration. The toolpath and flow analysis package Visi V20 and the Sheetmetal industry profiling and nesting software package Radan. These two software products are extremely popular in Europe for engineering CADCAM solutions.
Southmach 2013 the South Island’s premium machine tool exhibition gives Revolution Precision Machinery the ability to offer a complete product package to New Zealand engineers. Previous Southmach exhibition have proven very successful and this year’s exhibition will certainly produce the same results.
