Thermal imaging cameras have become a “must-have tool” to assist with predictive and preventative maintenance, whether you are performing industrial maintenance, providing insurance reports, checking buildings, or undertaking research. Not to mention, having a qualified thermographer on site adds value to your business.
Eurotec Ltd are your one stop shop for thermal imaging products and services. Eurotec supply a variety of high quality, non-contact temperature measurement equipment from our European suppliers including portable handheld imagers from Testo, through to Infrared thermometers, pyrometers and fixed in-line cameras and software. Eurotec also offer thermography certification workshops and are further able to provide after-sales service including calibration of all thermal imagers. The team at Eurotec are highly qualified and experienced with the range of instruments, with all Electrical & Instrumentation team members being Category 1 qualified thermographers.
An increasingly popular area of application for thermography has been insurance reporting. Insurance companies have embraced the technology in New Zealand and now call on all industrial companies to have a thermal report performed at least once per year. This is a great opportunity for electrical contractors to gain a qualification in this field and increase business potential.
How can I become a qualified thermographer?
Twice a year, Eurotec provide a 5-day workshop through which a Category 1 Thermography Certification can be attained. These courses teach you how to make use of all camera features and functions available and increase your knowledge to be able to meet further challenges of thermography no matter what brand of camera you have.
Eurotec have adapted to the new environment that the global pandemic has presented and have been able to run the courses safely and successfully over the last two years. The course tutor Jeff Erichsen from Advanced Infrared Resources conducts the courses via Microsoft teams with qualified thermographers from Eurotec on-site managing the class and assisting with practical lessons. This new format has proven to be a success, with students still getting the full course experience with hands on learning as well as theory. This course is ideal for Industrial Maintenance Inspectors, Electricians, Insurance reporters, Building Inspectors and more.
With the May courses fully booked, the next course dates have been set for the 15th – 19th of August 2022 in Auckland, New Plymouth and Christchurch. Get in touch with Eurotec today for more information and to book your seat.
