The MESNZ Conference is in Hamilton 8-10th October 2024.
A few of the key topics and speakers will be:
Unconventional methods to extending the lifespan of your asset
Rex Sims – Wrap Resources Australia
This presentation introduces three different approaches in the repair and remediation of pipelines, process piping, tanks, civil infrastructure and vessels with the use of Viscous Elastic Coatings (VEC), corrosion passivators and lastly, Engineered Composite Repairs (ECR).
From high value to heavy duty – Exploring transformative capabilities of large-scale Metal3D printing
Ben Jackson – Fabriotics
Advancements in Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM)have revolutionized the field of metal 3D printing, making it practical and cost-effective to 3D print large metal parts. Traditionally this technology has been restricted to small-size, high-value metal items. However, recent advancements in robotic welding technology merge the design freedom and speed of 3D printing with the capacity to produce substantial metal parts.
The hidden threat – Process water chemistry and its impact on industrial corrosion
Jonathon Smith – Optimech
This presentation reviews New Zealand water chemistry by area and shows how variation in supply water chemistry can affect the corrosion performance of stainless steel and copper in industrial piping, boilers and heat exchangers affecting the service life.
