Optical sensor for precise turbidity measurement

Automation

ProMinent has launched DulcoeyeLT, a new optical sensor that makes it much easier to monitor water quality. The sensor measures low turbidity. Accurate measurement is important for ensuring water quality, for example in drinking water treatment, swimming pools, the beverage industry and aquaculture.

The sensor is ready for immediate use: factory calibration and plug-and-play functionality enable quick installation and intuitive operation. A hydrodynamic self-cleaning principle reduces maintenance requirements. An algorithm detects and compensates for air bubbles, ensuring that measurements are not disrupted. The compact flow reservoir cell helps to reduce water consumption and ensures short response times.

The new DulcoeyeLT turbidity sensor can be optimally combined with the new single-channel controller Dulcometer diaLog C. The sensor detects even minimal changes in the water and sends the measurement data directly to the controller, which adjusts the dosage accordingly. This allows the system to react immediately to changing conditions and makes it suitable for many applications – from drinking water treatment and industrial process water monitoring to swimming pool and wastewater treatment.

The new sensor is aimed at operators and planners of water treatment plants, municipal and industrial users, and pool operators worldwide. The technology supports control and quality assurance, particularly in the areas of drinking water, wastewater, the beverage industry, aquaculture, and hotels.

ProMinent is thus expanding its portfolio for water analysis and helping users to control their processes safely and efficiently. The DulcoeyeLT turbidity sensor is the first sensor in the new Dulcoeyeoptical product line. This series will be expanded to include additional measurement parameters in the coming months and will be introduced gradually.
