Hamilton-based global engineering consultancy PDV Consultants (PDV) is pleased to announce that Robert Scott will be joining the PDV Team as Principal Electrical Engineer.  Robert brings with him 25 years of international electrical engineering and control systems experience.

PDV provides process engineering design and solutions for food and biosciences industries around the globe, including some of the world’s largest dairy, manufacturing, and food companies.

“It’s an exciting time for PDV as we start to bring more electrical engineering and control systems expertise in-house and expand our engineering capability for the benefit of both current and future clients.”

Robert joins PDV after running his own electrical engineering company, where he worked on the design and delivery of large scale electrical and control systems in New Zealand and internationally.

PDV’s attention to detail along with their professional expertise in delivering engineering solutions for dairy, manufacturing and food companies complements well his values and industry experience.

“Joining PDV was a natural fit for my expertise and values and is an excellent opportunity to help grow PDV’s offering in electrical engineering and control systems and deliver a total integrated engineering solution for PDV’s clients,” says Robert.

Most recently Robert has been engaged primarily in a Project Management role and he is looking forward to returning to more of an engineering focus.

“I'm looking forward to getting back into the engineering space and assisting the team here with their process electrical requirements.  I really enjoy the engineering side of projects. You get the opportunity to make something work and then see it from design through to commissioning.  At the end of the day, it’s great to see the positive impact a successful completed project has for customers,” says Robert.

PDV Consultants’ Managing Director Gerard O’Connor says, “PDV is excited about diversifying our offering for the benefit of our clients.  It will be exciting to see Electrical Engineering integrated into our entire project development process.”

With over 25 years’ experience in the industry, Robert is more passionate than ever about the opportunity to work with PDV engineers to provide the best engineering solution for PDV’s clients.

“PDV’s clients include some of the world’s leading-edge companies and manufacturers who are using our engineering solutions to drive cost savings, production, and energy efficiencies.  Bringing these benefits to fruition for our clients is an incredibly exciting space to be in.” says Robert.
