Expansion of the Portfolio of Inductive Sensors with Increased Switching Distances in Miniature Format

Hardly larger than a pin head, the previously eight inductive sensors in the miniature housing of the wenglor sensoric group are regarded as the ideal sensor solution for detecting metal objects in tight installation situations. The sensors in the compact D3 and M4 housing have a size of only 22 millimeters and detect metal objects in applications with limited installation space. The stainless steel housing 316L, the high IP67 degree of protection and a high temperature resistance in the range of –25 °C to +70 °C make the sensors robust and durable. Increased switching distances of up to 1 mm ensure high performance. The optional PNP/NPN and NO/NC variants enable simple integration into existing systems. The eight sensors with PUR cable connection that have been available to date are each complemented by a variant with pigtail cable and the range of applications is hereby expanded with a total of 16 inductive sensors in miniature housings.

The Highlights at a Glance:

  • Small sizes D3 and M4 (both with a housing length of 22 mm)
  • Switching distances up to 1 mm
  • Robust housing in stainless steel 316L
  • Pigtail connector M8x1, 3-pin 200 mm PUR
  • Outstanding protection: IP 67
  • Large temperature range –25 °C to +70 °C
  • High switching frequency of 3,000 Hz
  • PNP/NPN or NO/NC variants available
