One motor drives more concrete vibrator options

General

WYCO, manufacturer of the superior performing ‘Square Head’ concrete vibrator has just expanded the options for greater concrete vibration performance and a superior concrete finish.
Now, one motor drives all your needs. The Wyco Sure Speed electric motor drives the full range of Wyco flexible drives – 12 drives from 2.5 metres to six metres – and ten options in Square Heads from 19mm to 65mm.
The all new motor weighs around one kilogram less than the models the market is familiar with. This means less weight to carry around your formwork during a concrete pour.
The Sure Speed motor produces equivalent power to the three horsepower model and the new onboard electronics govern the speed of the unit in a load/no load situation.
When the motor is vibrating in short shifts, or spending a lot of time in the air (normally about 60 percent of the job) the Sure Speed will not speed up to a ‘no load’ speed like all other vibrators – it slows down, meaning reduced energy consumption and less motor wear, maintenance and downtime.
The most important benefit of using the Sure Speed is the end results. The reduction of visible voids on the form faces from the 10,500vpm controlled speed has been verified in lab
testing, exhibition testing and contractor field testing.
Wyco identified the mix design tendencies that contributed to increased surface defects. The increase dosages of water reducers in mixes that faced placement challenges from pumping and high concentrations of rebar, called for seven to nine inch concrete consistencies (slump). High WRA mixes are known for increased concrete bleeding.
This means you get a reliable and uniform speed every time. The Sure Speed Vibration System will deliver a uniform speed in the concrete every time – regardless of the head size,
shaft length, or concrete load.
